Open the App Store on iPhone and tap your photo or initials. If you have account credit, Apple shows the amount below your name. If no amount appears, Apple says there is no balance.
Check the balance on iPhone
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your photo, initials or account button.
- Sign in if asked.
- Look for the Apple Account balance under your name.
These are the steps from Apple Support. The appearance of the account screen can vary by iOS version.
What if the amount does not appear?
According to Apple, a missing amount generally means you have no Apple Account balance. If you think this is wrong, sign out and in again and review your purchase history or pending refunds.
Apple Account credit is not Apple Cash
Apple Account credit is associated with spending on eligible Apple content and services. It is not the same as Apple Cash, a debit card balance or a bank account. An app cannot read your Apple Account credit automatically.
Using the amount in Balance Reset
Enter the exact amount and the correct currency manually, then check the offered in-app purchase prices for your storefront. The app can help plan purchases, but it cannot access Apple Account information or make a balance transfer.
If you want to switch App Store countries
Read our balance clearing checklist. Apple may require you to spend leftover credit and address other account obligations first. Official country-change guide.
Official sources and verification
We verify account-setting guidance against Apple’s change-country instructions, Apple’s balance help and Apple’s gift-card guide. Balance Reset is independent and is not Apple Support. Reviewed: October 27, 2026.
